The fall of the Berlin Wall
30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall! The KaDeWe (Kaufhaus des Westens) has been transformed for its anniversary on 09th November into the KaDeBe – Kaufhaus der Berliner, which means shopping mall for the inhabitants of Berlin.
For a total of three weeks 200 employees tell their personal stories about the fall of the Berlin Wall regarding to the question “Where have you been on 09th November?”
The individual stories now decorate the entire facade of the store. 180 m² of SK-film with cutouts were applied to the shop windows for this purpose. At the same time 70 m² of foil plots will design the cutouts in the windows in 54 different lettering until 10th November. Roundabout 50 m² of facade foils were produced and printed by PPS. Imaging as well as a 75 m² mesh banner which towers above the main entrance.
The project was installed and assembled on a single Sunday with the help of eight fitters and various scaffolds.
A real eye-catcher for all Berliners!
