Hamburg Commerical Bank Run, 2019

Ready to run!

Once again our PPS. team participated at the Hamburg Commercial Run (former HSH Nordbank Run) on 22nd June 2019. The run went through the district of Hafen City up to the famous Elbbrücken in Hamburg. Our colleagues were able to prove themslves on a total of four kilometers. Nearly 20,000 runners were on the run for a good cause and supported the "Kinder helfen Kindern e.V." campaign with their efforts. The 640 teams donated 134,000 Euros.
In the end the runners could enjoy the day with power bars and a harbor tour!
We would like to thank Hamburg Commerical Bank for the great event and look forward to participating again for the good cause next year.

PPS. Learning Day

This is customer contact, just the way we like it!

Every year, we host the PPS. Learning Day, a workshop aimed at helping the junior staff of interested clients to get to know our company and discover a deeper understanding of large-format printing and all its possibilities.

The workshop offers both a wealth of information and impressions and provides a take-home product made by participants themselves from the field of Display & Packaging.
Apprentices from Peek&Cloppenburg KG took part in their fifth PPS. Learning Day and got to know our Berlin office and all its production divisions.
"The day was very informative and it was fascinating to see the production process and all its individual steps", one participant said in her positive feedback.
We too had lots of fun with the apprentices and are already looking forward to the next PPS. Learning Day in the new year.

In spring 2018 the new Inca Digital Onset X2 from Fujifilm was inaugurated at our Berlin production site.
This investment enables PPS. Imaging to achieve new successes, including a productivity boost, a reduction in delivery times and an increase in quality. Outstanding products with high quality are for PPS. Imaging decisively, because the expectations of our customers become higher - also in terms of a shorter deadlines.

By purchasing the new printing machine, we are not only experiencing faster post-production for orders that have already been completed, but also better quality for new projects. The new OnSet X2 has already proven to be the market leader and the optimal solution for implementing customer requirements.

We are confident that this investment will put us in a strong position in staying ahead of market trends, envolving customer demands and shorten delivery runs.

BSports Unternehmenscup

Goal! Goal! Goal!
This year, our Berlin colleagues at BSports Unternehmenscup have shown what they can do when it comes to football. In a 5+1 team, the employees at PPS. Imaging GmbH competed against 39 other teams and thoroughly enjoyed their experience. Unfortunately, in the end, the first place prize was just out of reach but the team nonetheless brings home a small victory – the team name, "BALLADASDAREIN", made it to the awards ceremony with positive mention as the most creative in the field of participating teams. For us, the team is definitely the champion of our hearts

The PPS. Imaging Group is expanding with a further acquisition: as part of an asset deal, PPS. took over the entire business operations of GmbH on 1 October 2017.

Founded in 2009 in Berlin, sells a broad range of products encompassing wall decorations, home accessories, photo products and gift ideas. In the future, the acquisition of Klebefieber will supplement the existing B2C online business of the PPS. Group for the interior decorating segment.

This acquisition represents a consistent continuation of the build-and-buy strategy successfully pursued by the PPS. Group. A number of selected companies have already been acquired and successfully integrated into the PPS. Group over recent years as part of this strategy.

“We are delighted to be able to work with our new colleagues at Klebefieber and expand our B2C online sales with Klebefieber, a brand already established in the market. Together, we will be able to combine our resources in all essential areas and thereby press ahead with our online strategy even faster,” explains Michael Krieger, Managing Director of the PPS. Imaging Group.

The growth of PPS. Imaging Group is consistently continued:

On 1st September 2017 the vertical vision GmbH & Co. KG, already a 100% subsidiary of PPS. Imaging GmbH, completely merges into the parent company.

All business and services of vertical vision will be continued in the future. The usual contact persons will be still available to their customers and suppliers as well.

The fusion of the vertical vision with PPS. is a logical consequence of the strategic development of the PPS. Group, underscoring our growth-oriented goals. Under the umbrella of the PPS. brand. we will operate in the market united and strengthened and serve our customers with a broad range of services.

We are pleased to present a new chapter in the company history of PPS. Imaging Group.

Significant changes to the company structure are taking effect immediately at the PPS. group, now that NORD Holding Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft mbH has acquired a majority share of PPS. Imaging GmbH. With more than 45 years of experience, NORD Holding is one of the leading private equity investors serving the medium-sized sector. Their focus is structuring and financing of schemes for succession of businesses, takeovers of group units or subsidiary companies and expansion for mid-sized enterprises. Michael Krieger and now also Roland Niggemeyer continue to be involved in the PPS. group. Thus, Niggemeyer Bildproduktion will henceforth operate 100% as a PPS. company, just like the other subsidiaries, Apalis GmbH and vertical vision GmbH & Co. KG.

With the interest from NORD Holding, the lead market position of the PPS. group will continue to be developed.

"We have gained a strong partner with NORD Holding and are now capable of continuing to invest in acquisitions and other strategic projects that allow us to carry forward the growth process at PPS.", said Michael Krieger, CEO responsible for the group for the future.

"We are excited to be able to match our strong acquisition activity of the past year. The PPS. group is an excellent fit for the focus on investments at NORD Holding and we especially look forward to providing financial support for the international growth of the PPS. group. Other acquisitions are also planned for the PPS. group," said Matthias Kues, Executive Director at NORD Holding.

PPS. Imaging takes significant stake in Niggemeyer Bildproduktion GmbH & Co. KG

PPS. Imaging has taken a significant stake in Bochum-based Niggemeyer Bildproduktion. These two major players in the digital printing market are now set to capitalise on market opportunities and set innovative standards for the future. Important changes in Niggemeyer's ownership structure will take effect from 1 May 2016. After 25 years with the company, Peter Schütte is leaving and his stake is being acquired by PPS. Imaging. At the same time, Michael Krieger of PPS. will be joining the company's management team. Responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Bochum site will pass to managing director Roland Niggemeyer. The aim is to position the production facilities at Bochum as a state-of-the-art provider for the large-format textile printing sector, and to seek out new customers in the XXL print market by offering additional products and a broad-based sales operation.

“With its textile printing expertise, Niggemeyer is the ideal fit for us,” says Michael Krieger. “This merger will enable us to take advantage of synergies and strengthen PPS. Imaging's large format textile printing service.”

Roland Niggemeyer is also looking forward to the partnership. “PPS. Group gives us access to a wide-ranging network and strengthens our market position. We'll also be benefitting from increased production capacity in the areas of high-volume sheet printing and display and packaging.”

Both Michael and Roland are looking to the future with confidence. PPS. Imaging's stake in Niggemeyer has brought together two family-run companies that share a similar strategy: healthy growth based on a sound financial footing, and the aim of always being at the cutting edge of the latest technological developments. With its strategic stake in Niggemeyer, PPS. is gaining new skills and competencies and securing its position as one of Europe's leading large-format print providers.

Acoustic images

Spatial acoustics made visual with PPS. Imaging acoustic frames

Ambient noise – especially in open-plan offices – is an underestimated source of stress. It can prevent people from concentrating, have an adverse impact on performance and generally create tension. The larger the office, and the more workstations it contains, the greater the likelihood that employees will be exposed to a continuous background of noise.

To enable staff to work undisturbed, effective acoustic management with noise-absorbing surfaces is required. And because design has an important role to play in achieving this aim, PPS. Imaging provides acoustic images whose motifs you can design yourself.

The frames have premium acoustical features, lightweight aluminium profiles and, with their flexible configuration options such as separation walls or screens, help create a pleasant atmosphere.

Product specification:

  • Material: 100% polyester
  • Width: up to 310 cm single-piece
  • Material grade B1 (hardly flammable) in accordance with DIN 4102
  • Öko-Tex Standard 100 certified
  • Quality management system certified in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008
  • Various frame widths
  • Fast and easy installation
  • Wall-mounted, free-standing, suspended or as ceiling sail
  • Range of motifs and formats

So now you can have both acoustic function and design excellence – and transform your office into an oasis of wellbeing.
